CHALLENGE

GSK has a strong and exciting pipeline of new medicines and wanted to share that momentum with people across the whole organisation. With teams spread globally, working in offices, laboratories, manufacturing sites, the field and from home, the challenge was to bring everyone closer to the breakthroughs driving GSK’s mission.

Innovation in specialty medicines and vaccines was advancing rapidly, representing huge progress for patients. However, the complexity of the science and the distance many employees felt from the R&D journey risked standing in the way of a shared understanding and sense of connection.

The opportunity was to make these innovations more accessible, to celebrate the people behind the discoveries, and to strengthen pride in the collective impact, helping every employee recognise the role they played in bringing transformational treatments closer to patients, and see themselves as true Life Changers.

SOLUTION

We created  the ‘Life Changers campaign’ which included as a key element, an inspiring podcast to educate, engage and unite employees around GSK’s innovation in new medicines and vaccines. It was designed for ‘deep divers’ who wanted to understand the medical need and hear about the fascinating journey of drug development. Accessible for the non-scientist but also valuable for those working across R&D and Medical. 

Episodes featured senior leaders and combined scientific insight with human storytelling.

IMPACT

This podcast series is part of GSK Life Changers, a global internal campaign we developed for GSK with the aim of building confidence, connection and community. This high-impact, engaging campaign is far-reaching, with content sustaining high views and eliciting positive reactions and engagement.
