We Are Toucan was founded by stand-up comedians.

Not because we wanted to be funny at work, but because comedy teaches you something most communications training never will: how to read a room.

Our female founders come originally from stand-up, TV, radio and drama environments where timing is unforgiving, attention is scarce, and you find out immediately whether something lands. There's no hiding. You either connect, or you don't.

That instinct shapes everything we do.

 Most agencies learn communication theory. We learned it in front of a live audience.

Which means when we walk into a regulated industry with complex science, sensitive change programmes and nervous stakeholders, we're not guessing at what will land. We're reading the room - and we've been doing it for a long time.

We're multi-award-winning in internal communications, with deep experience across pharma, biotech and financial services. We understand compliance, governance, legal scrutiny and brand guardianship. We also understand that none of that matters unless the people you're trying to reach actually care about what you're saying.
